From the level of application Comarh Retail POS: Generic dictionaries, it is possbile to define user-specific lists of values, also called generic dictionaries. In the application, it is possible to define dictionaries/lists of values which will be applicable for one or more workstations. Tey allow for defining any value directories. They are exported to generic POS directories and generic directory values (GenericDirectoryValues). In the application, it is possible, for example, to add another value to dictionaries for a selected sales channel or POS workstation
Application header
In the application header, it is possible to display settings for a given dictionary. To do so, in the field Directory, it is necessary to determine the dictionary for which the preview of settings is to be displayed and click on [Refresh] button. Once it is selected, in the application header, the settings for the selected dictionary will be displayed.
Workspace
In the application workspace, the user can define new dictionary value, as well as modify the settings for a given dictionary and delete already existing settings. To define new dictionary value, it is necessary to select [New] or [Duplicate], if it is necessary to duplicate an already existing table row.
After selecting the button [New], in the table appears new row in which it is possible to determine specific values for columns:
- Directory – name of the new directory
- Key – contains an id of the directory, which is defined by the user and can be composed of up to 100 characters
- Value – depends on the directory for which it is being defined It is exported to generic POS directories and generic directory values (GenericDirectoryValues). It is used for adapting or introducing additional functionalities in clients’ projects Existing dictionaries are stored in the POS database, in GenericDirectories table, while their values in Configuration.GenericDirectoryValues table.
- Sales – in this field, it is possible to specify a sales channel for a dictionary type
- Terminal type – in this field, it is possible to assign <<POS workstation type>> to a dictionary type
- POS terminal – in this field, it is possible to select POS workstation for which new dictionary settings are to be applied

Value: Missing elements
The defined value Missing elements will appear on the POS workstation, after synchronization, as one of defects which can be selected when creating a return purchase.
The second option of entering data in the application consists of duplication which copies a row currently selected in the table with the possibility of modifying it.
After entering required data, it is necessary to save it with the help of the [Save] button.
To make data available on the POS workstation, it is necessary to start the POS export meta data application.
