Comarch Webshop language assignments

The Comarch Webshop language assignments application makes it possible to assign languages used in an online store to languages used in Comarch ERP Enterprise. Language assignments may be made to map correct translations of multi-language attributes (e.g. data in the Description field on the item form) between Comarch ERP Enterprise and an online store.

Note
At least one language must be set for the sales channel in the application.

A language assignment may be made provided that a language to be assigned exists in Comarch ERP Enterprise.

Comarch Webshop language assignments application

The application is composed of a header, containing the standard toolbar, and a work pane.

The header allows the user to filter assignments according to specified criteria. Available fields include:

  • Sales channel – in this field, it is possible to select a sales channel whose assignments are to be displayed in the work pane. Available sales channels using the Comarch ERP Webshop adapter can be selected after clicking the [Value assistant] button.
  • Webshop language – in this field, it is possible to select languages supported by a given online store for which assignments are to be displayed
  • Language – in this field, it is possible to select languages defined in the Languages application for which assignments are to be displayed

Work pane

By default, the work pane displays all languages assignment created in the system. The list of assignments is filtered after entering search criteria and selecting the [Refresh] button. It is also possible to add new assignments and delete or sort existing ones.

If changes are made to language assignments, they are taken into account upon the next transfer of metadata.

Available columns include:

  • Sales channel (required) – in this field, it is necessary to select a sales channel for which a language assignment is to be created. Available sales channels using the Comarch ERP Webshop adapter can be selected after clicking the [Value assistant] button.
  • Webshop language (required) – in this field, it is necessary to select an online store’s language to be assigned to a system language
  • Language (required) – in this field, it is necessary to select a Comarch ERP Enterprise system language to be assigned to an online store’s language
Note
It is not possible to create more than one assignment for a single sales channel and webshop language. However, it is possible to create multiple assignments for a single sales channel and system language.
Example
The user adds item descriptions in Polish, English, and German. After these languages are assigned between the systems in the Comarch Webshop language assignments application and metadata is transferred, changing an online store’s language to one of the above accordingly changes the language of item names in the store.

Customizing

For the Comarch Webshop language assignments application to be active, it is first necessary to activate the Comarch Webshop function in the Customizing application.

Business entities

The following business entity is relevant to the Comarch Webshop language assignments application: com.sem.ext.app.ces.item.obj.LanguageAssignment. The business entity is used, for instance, to:

  • Assign authorizations
  • Provide activity definitions
  • Importing or exporting data

Authorizations

Authorizations can be assigned by means of authorization roles as well as by assignment of organizations.

Special capabilities

The Comarch Webshop language assignments application has no special capabilities.

Organization assignments

Organizational structures are used to control which data can be viewed, used, or edited. For this purpose, the Content-based authorizations parameter must be activated in the Customizing application (Base function).

To ensure that the user can see the Comarch Webshop language assignments application in the user menu and can open it, the user must be assigned to an organization that is connected to one of the following organization structures:

  • Sales
  • OLTP client

Special features

The Comarch Webshop language assignments application has no special features.

Authorizations for business partners

The Comarch Webshop language assignments application is not released for business partners.
