The Gift cards application is used to create new gift cards of a specific type that is defined in a different application – Gift card types. Gift cards can be exported to external systems and used there.

The application consists of a query pane containing a toolbar with standard buttons.

Fields available in the application:

• Number (mandatory field) – two-section field. A gift card type is specified in the first section; upon selecting the [New] button, the second section is completed automatically with a new gift card number based on the settings defined for the gift card type in the Gift card types application.

• Status – when a new gift card is created, the field is completed automatically with the value Created. During other actions, the gift card status can change to: Blocked, Active, Inactive. This field is not editable.
• Value – this field is completed automatically with the value retrieved from the Default value field available in the Gift card types application. A numeric value in this field is editable, unlike the currency, which cannot be changed.
• Creation time point – this field is completed automatically with a gift card creation date and time after the gift card is saved. The time point is not editable.
• Valid from – to – if no validity period (expressed in days) is specified for a gift card type in the Gift card types, it is set automatically beginning with the gift card creation day until the furthest possible date in the system. If a number of days of gift card validity is specified in the Gift card types application, then the validity period is set beginning with the current day throughout the number of days specified in the Days valid field in the Gift card types application. A value in this field is editable.
