This document describes the “Customer’s planning view in Items application, which can be used, e.g., for entering requisition data for a specific customer.
Create item data for customer-related planning
Preconditions
Data can be entered for Customer planning view only if the item already has sales data. In a multi-site environment, the item must have sales data for the selected organization.
If a variant item is involved, the related reference item must already have the item data for the desired customer. The organizations must be the same in a multi-site environment.
In a multi-site or single-site environment with activated content-based authorizations, the selected organization must be a sales organization.
Instructions
- Open the Items application.
- Open the item for which you want to enter customer planning data.
- In a multi-site environment, select the organization for which you are editing the data.
- Switch to Customer planning view.
- Click on [New] button on the standard toolbar.
- In Customer field, enter the customer for which you want to enter customer planning data.
- If required, fill out the other fields with the desired sales data.
- Click on [Save] button on the standard toolbar.
Delete item data for customer-related planning
Item data for a customer-related planning is not deleted directly and must first be marked for deletion. Only those versions of customer-related planning data that have their entire validity period in the future can be deleted directly, since they have not been used yet.
Mark customer-related planning data for deletion
Preconditions
The item data for customer-related planning has not been marked for deletion yet.
Instructions
- Open the Items application.
- Switch to Customer planning view.
- Open the item for which you want to delete customer planning data.
- Open the customer whose planning data is to be marked for deletion.
- In a multi-site environment, select the organization for which you are editing the item.
- Click on Mark for deletion in the standard toolbar.
- The customer-related planning data of the item is marked for deletion and saved.
Unmark customer-related planning data for deletion
Preconditions
The item data for customer-related planning has been marked for deletion.
Instructions
- Open the Items application.
- Open the item for which you want to unmark the customer-related planning data for deletion.
- Switch to Customer planning view.
- Open the customer for which the item data need to be marked for deletion.
- In a multi-site environment, select the organization for which you are editing the item.
- Click on [Unmark for deletion] in the standard toolbar.
- Deletion flag will be removed.
Delete customer-related planning data version
Preconditions
A customer-related planning data version, that will be valid only in the future, exists.
Instructions
- Open the Items application.
- Open the item for which you want to delete a future version of the customer-related planning data.
- Switch to Customer planning view.
- Open the customer whose planning data version you want to delete.
- In a multi-site environment, select the organization for which you are editing the data.
- Using [Next] and [Back] buttons browse in the Valid from field and switch to a future version of the customer-related planning data to be deleted.
- Click on [Delete] button on the standard toolbar.
- The selected version of the customer-related planning data is deleted.
Create a new version of customer- related planning data
Preconditions
In order to generate a new version, it is important for the item to have a customer-related planning data.
Instructions
- Open the Items application.
- Open the item for which you want to enter a future version of the customer-related planning data.
- Switch to Customer planning view.
- Open the customer for which you want to enter a new version of the customer-related planning data.
- Click on [New version] button on the standard toolbar.
- A new version of the customer-related planning data will be generated.
6. Enter a future date from which the planning data will be valid in the Valid from field.
7. Click on [Save] button on the standard toolbar.
- This selected version of the item data is deleted.
Duplicate customer-related planning data
Instructions
- Open the Items application.
- Open the item for which you want to duplicate customer-related planning data.
- Switch to Customer planning view.
- Open the customer whose customer-related planning data you want to duplicate.
- Click on [Duplicate] button on the standard toolbar.
- The system generates a new record.
6. Specify the desired customer.
7. Save the new customer-related planning data.
