Standard buttons

There are a number of standard buttons in the system. They are located in the main menu, in the context menus, and in dialog boxes. The following list shows the buttons that appear most frequently in the system.

Button

Description


New

It adds a new object or voucher. In cockpit applications, the button clears the fields of the identification pane and search results in the work pane in order to allow the definition of new search criteria.



Duplicate

It adds a new object/voucher on the basis of another object/voucher existing in the system.


Save

It saves changes made in the currently open window of the system.


Delete

It deletes a selected object or voucher.


Mark for deletion

It sets a deletion flag for an object/voucher. The deletion flag informs the user that the object/voucher is to be deleted in the future.


Unmark for deletion

It removes a deletion flag.


Validate

It verifies the correctness of data entered in an application. If there are errors/warnings, the system displays corresponding messages.


Refresh

It updates the currently open form or list.


Select action

When selected, the button displays actions related to a given application.


Calculate and display totals

It sums line items selected on a list. Summed values are displayed in the summary bar*.


Export

It exports data contained on a list to a form or export file**.

* The same currency of filtered objects is required for correct summation of amounts.
