This document describes the procedures for handling the Item characteristics application. An item characteristic classification must be already created as a precondition. The instruction of entering such classification can be found here.
Assign classifications and characteristics to items

Instructions
- Open the Item characteristics application.
- In Classification field, select the classification to which the item is to be assigned. Alternatively, you can also select a leaf from the tab Item characteristic classification in the navigation pane.
- Click on [Update] button in the standard toolbar. A table is displayed with the items assigned to the hierarchy node. The columns have the assigned item characteristics of this node.
- Click on [Add] button on the standard toolbar of the table. A new table row will be added, where it is possible to enter selected item identification. You can mark several rows in the search result dialog window and accept them together in the table with the action [Find and add several items].
- Enter the characteristic values in the table for a selected item. If the characteristics are of the category Selection field, then you can select the characteristics with the value assistant.
Note
You can enter the characteristic values in the table and the line item editor. The data is loaded in the line item editor with a double click on the table row. The line item must be accepted again in the table after editing it.
- Click the Save button in the standard toolbar.
