Batch application: Update assortments

This document contains procedures for handling the batch application Update assortments.

The Update assortments batch application updates business entities AssortmentResults and AssortmentResultsDetail from assortment lists and listings whenever an assortment list is changed or in the case where an assortment classification is used to define assortment also when an item is added or changed, so it becomes part of the assortment classification included within an assortment list. If new items are added to lists and assortment is not updated, changes made to the lists will not be taken into account for export.

In order for the system to update assortment, changes to assortment lists and listings need to be processed by a batch job. The batch application Update assortments may be used to handle the process.

Update assortments application

In order to update assortment:

  1. Open the batch application Update assortments
  2. Enter a processing queue on the Background settings tab. The processing queue defines the way in which a new task is to be processed.
  3. Select the button [In background] to initiate the job

The preview of all batch jobs initiated in batch applications is available in the Batch jobs application or after selecting the icon informing the user about a job’s progress. Assortment is updated once the relevant batch job is assigned the status Closed.
