This article describes the procedures for using the Warehouse aisles application. The procedures contain instructions on how to assign a row to a warehouse aisle. You will also be informed about possible preconditions and effects.

Entering a new warehouse aisle

As the warehouse aisles are not independent business objects, they do not have to be entered directly before assignment. You enter a new warehouse aisle by assigning the new warehouse aisle to a row for the first time and saving the assignment.

Assigning a warehouse aisle to a row

Preconditions

The following requirements must be met before you can assign a row to a warehouse aisle:

• Storage location control is activated in the Customizing application
• The use of warehouse aisles is activated in the Customizing application
• The warehouse organization of the warehouse provides for the use of storage locations
• The warehouse organization of the warehouse zone provides for the use of rows
• The warehouse zone has rows. This means that at least one storage location has been created or recorded that uses the row structural element.

Instructions

1. Open the Warehouse aisles application
2. In the Warehouse field, enter the warehouse where the rows that you want to group into aisles are located
3. In the Warehouse zone field, enter the warehouse zone whose rows you want to combine into aisles
4. In the Aisle field in the work area, enter the warehouse aisle to which the row is to be assigned
5. Save the assignment by selecting the [Save] button in the standard toolbar

• The row is assigned to the warehouse aisle.

Querying and processing warehouse aisles

1. Open the Warehouse aisles application
2. In the Warehouse field, enter the warehouse where the rows that you want to group into warehouse aisles are located
3. In the Warehouse zone field, enter the warehouse zone whose rows you want to group together in warehouse aisles
4. Load the rows of the warehouse zone by selecting the [Refresh] button

• The rows of the warehouse zones and any assignment to warehouse aisles are displayed in the work area.

Deleting warehouse aisle

As the warehouse aisles are not independent business objects, they cannot be deleted directly. You delete a warehouse aisle by deleting all occurrences of the warehouse aisle in the Aisle field.
