Below described are the topics that are specifically relevant for the Cockpit: Inventory postings application.

Application description

With the help of the query application Cockpit: Inventory postings, you can get an overview of all or selected inventory postings. Please note that the automatically generated offsetting postings represent independent inventory postings and are therefore not automatically displayed for an inventory posting in the work pane if the search criteria do not include them.

The application consists of a query pane and a work pane.

Query pane

Query fields are stored in the query pane. As a rule, the most important query fields are already available. However, the number of query fields and their placement can vary.

The query pane is saved per view. You can determine which query fields are displayed. To do this, select the desired query fields from a list of fields. The description of the query fields can usually be found in the direct help.

General descriptions of a query pane can be found in the Cockpits article.

For information on the meaning of the fields, please also refer to the explanations in the Inventory postings article.

The special features are described below:

Inventory owner – if required, enter a partner identification as a search criterion to query inventory postings in which this partner is specified as the inventory owner. The inventory owner is determined on the basis of the destination or source inventory owner. The determination itself depends on the posting process and is carried out according to the following pattern:

  • Receipt posting – the inventory owner corresponds to the destination inventory owner.
  • Issue posting – the inventory owner corresponds to the source inventory owner.
  • Correction posting – the inventory owner corresponds to both the destination and the source inventory owner.
  • Receipt posting from a transfer posting or revaluation – the inventory owner corresponds to the destination inventory owner.
  • Issue posting from a transfer posting or revaluation the inventory owner corresponds to both the destination and the source inventory owner.

Open for processing – if required, define the processing status of an inventory posting as a search criterion. Selectable values are:

  • Ignore – the processing status is not taken into account for the query for inventory postings. Both processed inventory postings and inventory postings that are still open for processing are determined.
  • Yes – if an inventory posting has been posted but not yet processed by an inventory management server, its processing status is open. Neither the inventories nor the inventory values are up-to-date for such inventory postings. Query such inventory postings by selecting this entry.
  • No – if the inventory posting has already been processed by an inventory management server, its processing status is no longer open. Query such inventory postings with this setting.

Work pane

A table is available in the work pane in which the queried inventory postings are displayed. You can determine which information about an inventory postings is displayed . To get an overview of an inventory posting in different ways with different information, several views can be created.

General descriptions of a work pane can be found in the Cockpits article.
