In the application Comarch Retail POS field validation it is possible to specify which values are mandatory and set correctness verification for particular address fields specific to a given country. Thanks to the application, on a POS workstation it will not be possible to save a customer if specified requirements regarding address fields are not fulfilled. The application is used for defining additional validations – fields which are normally mandatory on the POS workstation remain without changes.
The application is composed of the identification pane and work pane.
Identification pane
In the identification pane, it is possible to filter lists by selected country. To do so, it is necessary to open searching options for Country value and select [Value assistant] button. After selecting the button, a window in which it is possible to find the adequate sales country.
After selecting button [Start] the system displays the complete list with the possibility of selecting
and filtering a given country. After selecting button [Accept], the selected country will be displayed in the identification pane.
Work pane
In the work pane, the user can define new validation for selected address fields. To do so, it is necessary to select [New] or [Duplicate], if it is necessary to duplicate an already existing table row.
After selecting the button [New], in the table appears new row in which it is possible to determine specific values for columns:
- Country for which the validation is being entered
- Field type for which the validation will be used
- Street
- Building number
- Postal code
- City
- P.O. box postal code
- District
- P.O. box
- Apartment number
- Regular expression – configuration tool which will be used for validation of entered text. Regular expressions allow to maintain nomenclature cohesion and coding present in the system. Thanks to that, it is also possible to define own validations for address fields in the POS application. When validating a field, the application checks whether its text fulfills that condition.
This regular expression means that on the POS terminal, when entering the postal code, the user must specify in in the following form: xx-xxx.
The second option of entering data in the application consists of duplication which copies a row currently selected in the table in order to allow its modification. The possibility of copying allows for reducing the number of fields filled-in manually, however it is not possible to save two identical validations.
After entering required data, it is necessary to save it with the help of the [Save] button.
To make data available on the POS workstation, it is necessary to start the Comarch POS application: Export metadata.
