Application description
You can use the Cockpit: Account assignment information application to obtain an overview of all or selected account assignment information.
The application consists of a query pane and a work pane.
Query pane
Query fields are stored in the query area. As a rule, the most important query fields are already available. However, the number of query fields and their position can vary.
The query pane is saved per view. You can determine which query fields are displayed. To do this, select the desired query fields from a field list. The description of the query fields can usually be found in the direct help.

Work pane
In the work pane, there is a list in which the requested configuration information is displayed. You can determine yourself which information is displayed for a piece of account assignment information. Several views can be created in order to view account assignment information in different ways with different information.

Below you will find the descriptions of these views:

Standard view
The columns in detail:
- Voucher – this column displays the document with its identification from which the account assignment information was taken.
- Vocuher date – the voucher date of the voucher is displayed in this column depending on the posting basis. The following data is displayed:
- the posting date for material postings
- the external document date for Supplier invoices
- the document date for Customer invoices
- the document date for down payment requests
- for customer credit allocations, the document date of the associated Customer invoice
- Posting voucher – the posting document that determined the account assignment information is displayed in this column. Depending on the posting basis, these can be the following documents:
- posting basis Inventory posting – if the posting basis is a material posting, the posting document referenced in the material posting is displayed. If the source document was not specified in a manual material posting, the column is empty in this case.
- posting basis Supplier invoice – if the posting basis is an Supplier invoice, the relevant Supplier invoice item is displayed.
- posting basis Customer invoice – if the posting basis is an Customer invoice, the relevant Customer invoice item is displayed.
- booking basis Down payment request – if the booking basis is a down payment request, this is displayed.
- accounting basis Debtor credit allocation – if the posting basis is a debtor/credit allocation, the reference that contains the posting-relevant value is displayed. The following can be displayed: Customer invoice, Customer invoice item
- Original voucher – this column displays various data depending on the booking basis:
- posting basis Inventory posting – if the posting basis is a material posting, the original document referenced in the material posting is displayed. If the source document was not specified in a manual material posting, the column is empty in this case.
- posting basis Supplier invoice – if the posting basis is an Supplier invoice, the original item referenced in it is displayed. The following items can be displayed:
- procurement order item
- distribution order item
- withdrawal notification item
- sales order item (internal invoicing)
- posting basis Customer invoice – if the posting basis is an Customer invoice, the original item referenced in it is displayed. The following items can be displayed:

- purchase order item (internal invoicing)

- posting basis Down payment request – if the booking basis is a down payment request, the original reference to it is displayed. The following can be displayed:
- sales order
- sales order item
- posting basis Debtor credit allocation – if the posting basis is a debtor/credit allocation, the reference that contains the posting-relevant value is displayed.The following can be displayed:
- Customer invoice
- Customer invoice item
- Debit/credit – this column shows the account page on which a value was posted in accounting. The following account pages can be displayed:
- Debit
- Credit
- Account – this column shows the G/L account to which the posting was made. Various items are displayed depending on the posting basis:
- posting basis Inventory posting
If the posting basis is an inventory, the account specified in the material posting is displayed. These can be the following accounts:- Balance sheet account
- Account non-attributable value
From the contra accounts of the material postings, these are the accounts used in the application Customizing or the account assignments for balance sheet accounts as contra accounts:
- posting basis Inventory posting
- Goods receipt/invoice received (clearing account)
- Additional costs
- Production access
- Production outflows
- Inventory differences
- Revaluations with transfer of ownership (multi-site)
- Transfer disposals with transfer of ownership (multi-site)

- Posting basis Customer invoice
If the posting basis is an Customer invoice, one of these G/L accounts is displayed:
- G/L account for revenues
- G/L account for sales deductions
- Posting basis Supplier invoice
If the posting basis is an Supplier invoice, the account of the respective order assignment line is displayed if it has been determined that the account results from the assigned order item. Otherwise, this is the account from the Supplier invoice item.

- Posting basis Down payment request If the posting basis is a down payment request, the account that was determined as the down payment request account for the down payment request is displayed.
- Partner – this column shows the partner identification for the personal account Customer or Vendor to which postings were made for down payment requests, Customer invoices, Supplier invoices, and customer credit allocations. The respective display depends on the following posting bases:
- posting basis Customer invoices – the partner identification of the customer is displayed.
- posting basis Customer credit allocation from the Customer invoice – the partner identification of the customer is displayed for both partial postings.
- posting basis Down payment request – the partner identification of the customer is displayed.
- posting basis Supplier invoice – the partner identification of the vendor is displayed.
- Posting amount (in booking currency) – this column shows the posting amount in the document currency of the original document. The posting amount is converted if the currency of the original document does not correspond to the leading currency and none of the local currencies. If there is no original document, no conversion is carried out. Depending on the booking basis, the following amounts result:
- Posting basis Inventory posting – for material postings, the posting amount comes from the value calculated there. For non-attributable values, it also comes from the non-attributable value calculated there.
- Posting basis Customer invoice – if the posting basis is an Customer invoice and the Display option is selected, these values can be displayed:
- Value of the receivable (final invoice amount)
- Value per tax key (tax amount)
- Value from the invoice item
- Value from the invoice item per revenue account and the price components that may be assigned to different accounts.
- posting basis Supplier invoice – if the posting basis is an Supplier invoice, these values can be displayed:

- Value of the liability (final invoice amount)
- Value per tax key (tax amount)
- Value from the invoice item
- Value from the document assignment to the invoicing item.

- posting basis Down payment request – If the booking basis is a down payment request, these values can be displayed:
- Value of the liability (advance payment request amount)
- Value of the down payment request amount per tax key (gross amount).
- posting basis Debtor credit allocation – if the posting basis is a debtor credit allocation shown on an Customer invoice, the value of the debtor credit allocation is displayed.
- Posting amount (in leading currency) – the booking amount is displayed in this column.For account assignment information on the credit side, this is always the value from the document multiplied by -1. For posting transactions that are not relevant to sales or input tax, this is the value of the posting. For tax-relevant postings, this is the value including taxes.
Extended view
The additional columns to the standard view in detail:
- Item – the item identification of the original item is displayed in this column.
- Quantity – this column shows the quantity and associated unit of measure on which the booking is based.
- Net amount (in document currency) – this column displays the net amount in the document selection.
Net amount = gross amount excluding taxes. - Tax amount (in document currency) – this column displays the tax amount in the document currency of the account assignment information for the account type G/L account if the posting basis is an Customer invoice, down payment request, or an Supplier invoice. The value zero (0) is displayed for posting transactions that are not relevant to sales tax or input tax. For tax-relevant postings, this is the tax amount relevant to accounting.
NoteA total tax amount resulting from different tax codes may be displayed. - Gross amount (in document currency) – this column shows the gross amount of the booking in voucher currency. For account assignment information on the credit side, this is always the value from the document multiplied by -1. For posting transactions that are not relevant to sales or input tax, this is the value of the posting. For tax-relevant postings, this is the value including taxes.
- Net amount (in base currency) – in this column, the net amount is displayed in leading figures.
Net amount = gross amount excluding taxes. - Tax amount (in base currency) – this column shows the tax amount based on the account assignment information for the account category G/L account if the posting basis is an Customer invoice, down payment request, or an Supplier invoice. The value zero (0) is displayed for posting transactions that are not relevant to sales tax or input tax. For tax-relevant postings, this is the tax amount relevant to accounting.
HintA total tax amount resulting from different tax codes may be displayed. - Gross amount (in local currency) – in this column, the gross amount of the booking is displayed in the key currency. For account assignment information on the credit side, this is always the value from the document multiplied by -1. For posting transactions that are not relevant to sales or input tax, this is the value of the posting. For tax-relevant postings, this is the value including taxes.
Customizing
No settings need to be defined for the Cockpit: Account assignment information application in the Customizing application.
Business Entities
The following business entity is relevant for the Cockpit: Account assignment information application, which you use, for example, to
- to assign authorizations,
- Set up activity definitions or
- import or export data.
Authorizations
Authorizations can be assigned both with the help of authorization roles and by assigning an organization. The authorization concept can be found in the article Authorizations.

There are no special capabilities for the Cockpit: Account assignment information application.
Organizational assignments
In order for the Cockpit: Account assignment information application to be displayed to a person in the user menu, they must be assigned to an organization that is integrated into one of the following organizational structures:
