Customer dashboard

Topic overview

The ERP system contains a large amount of data regarding the relationship between a given company and its partners. Most applications focus on a specific aspect of the whole relationship. As a result, a lot of information is apportioned among multiple applications, which, in turn, are allocated to several different frameworks. The customer dashboard allows you to compile and list partner information from different panes quickly and easily. You can decide yourself which data is displayed, depending on what information is most relevant to you.

Since the user interface of the application is customizable, you can freely adjust it according to your own preferences. For more information on the customizable interface, refer to the Customizable user interface documentation.

Definitions of terms

Customers – Customers are partners who buy the company’s goods or services.

Partners – A partner is a natural person or an organization. A partner can be in a relationship (partner relationship) with its home company (i.e., the client company of the OLTP database currently being used) and also with other partners. One partner can thus appear in different partner roles and in different business processes (partner usages).

Application description

The Customer dashboard is an application that displays various information about customers. Since different information is relevant to different users, both the layout and the scope of the information displayed can be customized according to the individual users‘ needs. The user can freely rearrange information of their choice from the business objects Partner, Customer, and Partner marketing information.

The application serves to provide an information overview. The data displayed cannot be changed directly in the application. This way, all the data important to you, such as name, address, phone number, fax number, or open invoices, is at your disposal at a glance.

When you open the application, it displays the view of the Customer dashboard that you or the administrator defined as default in the design mode. In the design mode, you can create additional views and change existing ones if you are authorized accordingly. The interface elements you add in the application’s design mode can be extended with apps, which would e.g. allow you have a customer’s site displayed on a map. Simply move new or additional elements from the design mode, tab Attribute, into the application via drag and drop and save the view. For more information on the customizable interface, refer to the Customizable user interface documentation.

The query pane of the application Customer dashboard consists only of the field Partner. Said field is a fixed feature of the application and cannot be removed. After refreshing, you will see all the information you chose to have displayed in this application.
