Inventory posting is carried out in order to document all quantity and value transactions within inventory management. In the process of inventory posting, inventory is updated and materials evaluated depending on the posting key used..

Batch job
A batch job includes the necessary data for delayed execution of a batch application in a processing queue.

Description

The batch application Output inventory posting vouchers is used to output the voucher documents for the following categories of inventory postings:

  • Issue of goods slip – inventory postings are based on delivery (delivery slip or customer invoice)
  • Receipt of goods slip – inventory postings from receipts of goods
  • Internal inventory posting – issue and receipt postings from production, manual inventory postings, inventory postings
  • Relocation – transfer postings across warehouses

The voucher templates for the above-mentioned documents are defined in the Country-specifics function under the Voucher document templates grouping.

Action tab

The batch application provides the following fields under the Action tab:

Firm – in this field, enter the identification of the organization for which the inventory postings are to be issued

Posting date – in this field enter the period for which the inventory postings must be issued.
