Sales price simulation for sales item
To perform a sales price simulation for a sales item, follow the steps below:
- Open the Simulate sales prices application.
- In the Item field, enter an identification of a sales item for which a sales price is to be simulated or select it from the list under the [Value assistant] button.
- In the Price listing field, enter the price listing with a sales price list for the item selected in the Item field.
- In the Quantity field, enter the item quantity (at least 1) for which price simulation will be performed. Make sure that the unit in the Quantity field is consistent with the primary unit of the item.
- In the Customer field, you can also enter a customer for whom price simulation will be performed. If the customer has a price listing assigned, it will automatically be added into the Price listing field.
- In the Price displayed as field, you can change the price presentation from gross to net. For end consumers, price can only be displayed as net.
- Finally, select the [Validate] button in the standard toolbar.
The effect of price simulation is displayed in the work pane.
In the line item edition in sales vouchers, you can find other variables affecting line item price determination, which may determine other amounts than those calculated here. It is possible, for instance, to suppress the application of base discounts in the line items or to enter the price manually.
You can repeat price simulation multiple times. To do so, you need to change or complete again the query criteria in the query pane and then select the [Validate] button.
The simulation results are not stored in the system.
