The parking lot is the list of unconfirmed documents; it allows the user to return to a given document at any moment to finish its processing. Also, the parking lot functionality makes it possible to work with a single document on several workstations. To prevent a case where the same document can be edited on several workstations simultaneously, the original parked document is not edited – Comarch mPOS retrieves the data of the parked document and creates its copy.
Continued documents are saved in the parking lot automatically (by default, every 1 minute) so that the user does not lose the effects of their work, for example if the battery of the device with Comarch mPOS application is discharged.
However, to allow the continuation of documents from the parking lot on another workstation in the case where it is not possible on the workstation from which the documents originate (e.g. when a battery is discharged or a device is irreparably damaged), users can be given the permission Can continue parked locked documents in the Comarch Retail POS operator rights application in Comarch ERP Enterprise system.
The [Park] button is available, for instance, when generating a warehouse receipt document from a purchase order.
If a document is parked, it has a parking lot icon displayed below its status.
Saving documents automatically in the parking lot
The mechanism saving documents automatically when processing a delivery receipt is enabled if the device is:
- Offline – a document is saved in the local memory of the device
- Online – a document is saved in the parking lot of the Data Service
If Comarch mPOS application is closed unexpectedly, it is possible to go back to editing the last saved version of the document from the parking lot.
