New functionalities in version 2023.1

New features of the tablet mode

In response to client needs, Comarch mPOS application (as of 2023.0 version) has been adapted to work on mobile devices such as tablets. The application can be used on such devices in the vertical position.

With the functionality of the tablet mode, the seller can provide advice to customers with regard to the parameters and specifications of items.

Note
In order to activate the tablet mode, select the parameter Enable tablet mode for mPOS in Comarch ERP Enterprise system. The parameter is available in the application Comarch Retail POS terminals on the POS User interface tab.

As of 2023.1 version, the tablet mode has been extended with the following features:

  • Sales orders
  • Automatic generation of customer codes
  • Customer consents

Sales orders

Sales orders are issued for items that a customer considers buying. Comarch mPOS application now supports the following actions related to sales orders:

  • Preview of a sales order
  • Addition of a new sales order
  • Modification of an existing sales order by using the [Open Order] button
  • Generation of sales orders from sales quotes

A new option [Sales Order] is available under the [Create] button after selecting Start → Sales → [Sales Orders and Quotes].

On the list of sales orders and quotes, it is now possible to:

  • Add a new sales order
  • Preview a sales order
  • Generate a sales order based on a sales quote

In the preview of a sales order, it is possible to:

  • Park a new sales order to complete it later
  • Add/delete a header discount
  • Close the sales order
  • Open the sales order
  • Select a point of collection of ordered items

Automatic generation of customer codes

In order to automate and streamline work on the mPOS workstation, it is now possible to automatically assign customer codes to new customers added in the system.

Note
In order to enable the automatic generation of customer codes, activate the Generate customer code parameter in Comarch ERP Enterprise. The parameter is available on the Comarch Retail POS tab in the Sales channels application.

The feature is parameterized; after activating the Generate customer code parameter in Comarch ERP Enterprise, it is also necessary to assign a number range in the Number range for customer code field. The number range must be of the Comarch Retail POS Customer code category.

Customer consents

A new tab Consents is now available on the customer form in Comarch mPOS. The tab is displayed:

  • In the preview of the customer form
  • When adding a new retail customer/business entity:
    • If the Code, First Name and Last Name fields are filled in for a retail customer
    • If the Code, Name, and TIN fields are filled in for a business entity
Note
Consents can be defined in Comarch ERP Enterprise system.

Comarch mPOS makes it possible to:

  • Register or withdraw consents of different categories (e.g. consents to the processing of personal data, marketing consents, etc.)
  • Preview the full text of a consent by selecting [Show the full text of the consent]
  • Sign a consent form
