Product licenses (Standard, Enterprise)

As a result of the development of Comarch POS and Comarch mPOS applications and the introduction of new modules, a division of licenses into separate types, whose availability depends on the ERP system, has been introduced:

  • POS (Enterprise):
    • Front office
    • Back office
    • Front office + Back office
  • POS (Standard):
    • Front office + Back office
  • mPOS (Standard, Enterprise):
    • Front office
    • Back office
    • Front office + Back office

Each time the application is started, the license types are automatically verified. The license types affect the visibility of individual functional modules in Comarch POS and Comarch mPOS applications. In the ERP system, it is necessary to specify whether a given workstation is handled with Comarch POS or Comarch mPOS and which licenses are supported by a selected application. The license is verified each time the application is started; in the case of the online mode, the last correctly used license is used.

Note
The abovementioned configuration is required for the already existing workstations.

The availability of features for each application module depends on the type of license specified at the level of a given workstation:

  • Back office (warehouse features)
  • Front office (sales features)

If a wrong product license has been set in the ERP system, e.g. an mPOS license has been selected for Comarch POS application, the following notification will be displayed on the POS workstation: “The product license assigned to the workstation is invalid. It is necessary to select a POS license compatible with the type of the Comarch Retail application used.

Note
Each time Comarch POS and Comarch mPOS applications are started, they verify the correctness of licenses. Owing to this, it is possible e.g. to extend the license with an additional module at any time.

Access to the features listed below is verified with regard to the active license:

  • Front office:
    • New Document (invoice/receipt)
    • Trade Documents
    • Sales Orders and Quotes
    • Complaints
    • Reports and Payments
    • Open Drawer
  • Back office:
    • Delivery Receipt
    • Item Release
    • Order Picking
    • Internal Movements
    • Resource Corrections
    • Inventory

If the user selects a document type that is not available under the license or tries to access one of the abovementioned features without the correct license type, the action will be blocked and the following message will be displayed: Unable to perform this action – no license for the required module.
