Technical requirements

Terminal server

Comarch Warehouse application runs on a terminal server. Mobile users connect to the application using a remote desktop client installed on a mobile device. Since all operations are performed directly on the server, this requires an effective terminal server infrastructure.

Application requirements

To work properly, Comarch Warehouse 2024.1 requires:

  • Integration with Comarch ERP Enterprise system

Mobile devices

Comarch Warehouse has low hardware requirements for the mobile devices (data collectors) it runs on.

The device should have:

  • Touchscreen display with 320×240 or 640×480 resolution
  • Network card operating in TCP/IP (e.g. Ethernet or Wi-Fi) or GSM (e.g. GPRS) standard
  • Built-in barcode reader supporting at least EAN 13 and EAN 128
  • Software that supports working with the barcode reader in “keyboard emulation” mode (in such a case, scanned barcodes appear in text fields without using specific libraries of the device)
  • Installed RDP client supporting a 16-bit color palette (High Color). For Windows Mobile devices with an RDP client that only supports 256 colors (e.g. Terminal Services Client), it is recommended to install Remote Desktop Mobile.
Note
Comarch Warehouse has been tested on the following devices:

  • Honeywell Dolphin 9950
  • Honeywell Dolphin 9900
  • Honeywell Dolphin 6500
  • Honeywell Dolphin 99GX
  • Symbol mc9090
  • Point Mobile PM450

However, before choosing a device, it is best to rent a specific model and check the operation of the collector when connecting to the application via the remote desktop. In particular, you may want to check the accuracy of barcode scanning, the display of the application on the screen, and the operation of the function buttons on the collector.
