First start

During the first start of Comarch Retail POS application, it is necessary to perform the following actions:

1. Fill in:

  • POS Code – a POS workstation code defined while adding a new workstation in the ERP system
  • POS Data Service Address and Port – data of a computer and port on which the service synchronizing data between Comarch Retail POS application and the ERP system is running

2. Select a workstation interface language from among the available languages: Polish, English (US), German, French, Spanish, Italian

3. After selecting the button [Database Configuration], verify and fill in data enabling access to the POS workstation database

4. Once the Database Configuration and Initial Configuration windows are confirmed, the process of data synchronization between the ERP system and Comarch Retail POS application is initialized. Data will be properly exchanged if the data synchronization service is running correctly.

Note
During the first start of Comarch Retail POS application, the service synchronizing data with the ERP system must be running. The service may be configured in the ERP system. Before confirming the Initial Configuration window, the button [Check Connection] allows the user to verify connection with the data synchronization service.

In the case where connection cannot be established or the synchronization service is configured incorrectly, the application displays the following message:

Detailed information on events taking place on the POS workstation are recorded in log files. The default path to the POS workstation’s log files is C:\Retail\POS2\Logs.
